still life

img_4976The roses in our garden are blooming abundantly, oblivious to the horrifying events taking place on the world stage. I have been attempting to find solace in the profusion of scented blooms.

img_4991The roses in this arrangement with american honeysuckle and dill are munstead wood, evelyn, graham thomas, charles de mills, sweet juliet and tradescant.  img_4996It is hard to pick a favourite but evelyn is definitely a contender. img_4568

The fragrance is exquisite, second only to ‘jude the obscure’ among all the roses we grow.
